There are 3 rental units that can be used to describe the rental period. Days, nights and 24 hour periods. Each rental unit has a different meaning and it's important to understand the difference between them.

  • Days are the number of calendar days you have the vehicle for, including the day you pick up and drop off the vehicle. For example, if you pick up the vehicle on Monday and drop it off on Wednesday, you have the vehicle for 3 days.
  • Nights are the number of nights you have the vehicle for. For example, if you pick up the vehicle on Monday and drop it off on Wednesday, you have the vehicle for 2 nights.
  • 24hrs are the number of 24 hour periods you have the vehicle for. For example, if you pick up the vehicle on Monday at 10am and drop it off on Wednesday at 10am, you have the vehicle for 2x24 hour periods. If you were to drop the vehicle off at 11am on Wednesday, you would have the vehicle for 3x24 hour periods.

Picking up your vehicle

Picking up your vehicle early in the morning is our best tip for getting the most out of your relocation. It usually takes ~30minutes to complete the paperwork and vehicle inspection.

You must be at the pickup location 30 minutes before their closing time otherwise you may not be able to pickup the vehicle until the following day.

Dropping off your vehicle

When dropping off your vehicle, make sure you arrive at the depot before the closing time. If you arrive after the closing time, you will be charged an extra day and potentially a late fee from the supplier. If you are running late, call the depot and let them know. They may be able to make an exception for you.

If the supplier has issued you a drop off time that's earlier than the drop-off time specified on your booking with Imoova, you should contact the supplier and ask them to update the drop-off time on your booking. If the supplier is unable to update the drop-off time, you must drop the vehicle off at the time specified by the supplier.
