Confused about what costs are associated with relocating a vehicle? We break down the costs for you.

There are 3 costs that can be associated with booking a relocation vehicle, the relocation cost which is the nominal cost of the relocation (typically $1 per day), the extra day cost if you decided to extend your relocation and the booking fee.

• Relocation cost is a nominal cost paid to the supplier to hire the vehicle for the relocation period. This amount is typically $1 per day.

• Extra day cost is the cost per day if you wish to extend the relocation period. A portion of this cost is required on booking.

• Booking fee is a fee paid to Imoova to cover the costs of processing the booking. This fee is non-refundable.

Deposits

There are 2 deposits required to book a relocation vehicle. The first is a holding deposit paid to Imoova. The holding deposit is refunded to you when you pickup the vehicle. The holding deposit is a guarantee to the supplier that you will pickup the vehicle. The second deposit is a bond, like with any rental vehicle, the bond is refunded to you when you return the vehicle to the supplier in the same condition as you received it.

Mileage (Kilometre allowance)

Most relocations have a mileage allowance, this is the number of mls (or kms) you can drive within your rental period. If you exceed the mileage allowance you will be charged a fee per mile (or km) you drive over the allowance.

With additional days you may receive additional mileage allowance. The mileage allowance is typically 100 miles (160 kms) per day.

Inclusions

Relocations may also include additional inclusions such as a gas allowances, ferry tickets or linen kits and other kitchen amenities. If they are not included in the relocation, they may be able to be purchased from the supplier directly.
