When you participate in a relocation through imoova.com, it's important to note that the insurance coverage is provided by the supplier, not imoova.com itself. That being said, rest assured that most suppliers associated with imoova.com offer comprehensive insurance for your peace of mind. This insurance typically includes coverage collision and comprehensive damages. Should any unforeseen incidents occur during your relocation, such as accidents or damage to the vehicle, the supplier's insurance policy will help cover any associated expenses. Imoova.com works with reputable suppliers to ensure that you have access to reliable and insured options for your relocation, prioritizing your safety and protection throughout your journey.
It's common for the supplier to require a security deposit, typically around $1000. This deposit serves as a form of security for the supplier in case of any damages or violations during the rental period. Rest assured, the deposit will be fully refunded upon the safe and timely return of the vehicle, provided there are no incidents or additional charges incurred. The security deposit ensures accountability and helps maintain the condition of the vehicle throughout your journey. It's important to consider this deposit when planning your budget, as it will be temporarily held until the completion of your relocation.
The card used to pay for the relocation must be in the name of the main driver. The supplier will not accept a credit card in the name of another person.
In the US, Canada and Europe, yes. The supplier will require a credit card.
In Australia and New Zealand, typically no. You can usually pay with a debit card however sometimes the supplier will require an additional deposit if you wish to pay with a debit card. If you wish to pay via debit card, refer to the terms and conditions of the supplier before booking.
In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, you will be liable for the excess amount. The excess amount is the maximum amount you will be required to pay in the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle. Typically, the excess amount will match the security deposit amount.
Some of our suppliers offer the option to reduce your excess amount by a small daily fee. This fee is typically around $30 per day and will reduce your excess amount. This is a great option if you want to reduce your liability and have peace of mind during your relocation.
In the event of an accident, you must notify the supplier immediately. They will advise you on the next steps to take. If the vehicle is not drivable, the supplier will arrange for the vehicle to be towed to the nearest repairer. If the vehicle is drivable, you will be required to return the vehicle to the nearest repairer. The supplier will provide you with the details of the nearest repairer.
