Things to see on a Western Australia Roadtrip

You've probably seen Esperance all over social media, home to the turquoise waters of Lucky Bay which has been crowned as one of the world's best beaches. Twilight Cove is another great beach area.

Esperance Museum is great for learning about the history of the area as well as local fauna and wildlife.

The Margaret River area is famous for it's wine, with vineyards such as Vasse Felix, Leeuwin Estate, and Cape Mentelle.

Explore unique limestone caves such as Jewel Cave and Lake Cave.

Prevelly Beach is famous for surfing.

If you love birdwatching then Boranup Forest has some great walking trails.

Canal Rocks is another great walk - with boardwalks along the water.

Mandurah has one of Australia's highest concentration of dolphins, with sightings almost guaranteed daily.

The foreshore has lots of independent shops and cafes looking out on to the water.

Lake Monger is great for birdwatching.

There's also a trail to find sculptures of wooden giants which is fun for all the family.

Kings Park is one of Australia's most beautiful parks, and it's bigger than Central Park in NYC!

Visit the iconic prison in Fremantle, along with the food markets.

Cottesloe is one of Perth's best beaches, with an abundance of cafes nearby.

Take a short ferry ride and visit Rottnest Island and be sure to take a selfie with one of the smiley quokkas.

Jurien Bay Marine Park is perfect for snorkelling, diving, and spotting sea lions.

The jetty is a great spot if you're into fishing.

At Lake Thetis you can see the Stromatolites, some of the oldest living organisms on Earth.

Lancelin is a must visit for sand boarding and 4WD adventures. The beach is also a popular spot for windsurfing and snorkelling.

Located nearby Lancelin in Nambung National Park, the Pinnacles Desert is a surreal landscape comprised of ancient limestone formations. It's an amazing spot for stargazing and spotting the Milky Way with your naked eye.

Kalbarri National Park is home to cliffs, gorges, and the famous 'Nature's Window'.

Kalbarri Skywalk is a new observation platform that offers views across Murchison Gorge.

The Kalbarri coast is a great spot for spotting whales, depending on the time of year.

Unlike the Great Barrier Reef, you don't have to get a boat out to Ningaloo Reef! It's visible directly from the shore, making it great for snorkelling. One of the most popular activities is swimming with whale sharks between March & August.

Turquoise Bay is another great snorkelling spot.

In Cape Range National Park you can explore ranges, gorges, and beaches.

William Bay National Park is famous for it's crystal clear water and beaches, including Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks.

Explore local wineries like Howard Park or Singlefile.

Island Rock and Shelter Rock offer unparalleled coastal views.

Torndirrup National Park is home to natural attractions like The Gap and Natural Bridge.

Middleton Beach is ideal for swimming and sunset views.

Cable Beach is Broome's greatest attraction - a 22km stretch of white sand where you can ride camels at sunset.

Gantheaume Point is home to the famous dinosaur footprints as well as coastal scenery.

Broome even has it's own Chinatown, home to shops, restaurants, and galleries.

Broome Historical Museum is also a great place to learn about aboriginal culture.
