Free Camping in Victoria, Australia

The change isn't immediate, the government announced that it will commence on 1 December 2024 just in time for Summer and is effective until 30 June 2025. Bookings are still essential but will be free of charge. Existing bookings up until June 2025 will be honoured, although they have advised it will take a bit of time to work through the 15,000 strong backlog and get all bookings refunded. To ensure everyone gets a fair chance to make the most of the initiative, there will be a limit of 2 campsites per campground that can be booked per single transaction.

This is great news for everyone, especially if you are doing an Imoova campervan relocation! If paying $1 per day for a roadtrip in a motorhome wasn't cheap enough, now you're able to save around $30-$40 per night and plug in at campsites in Victoria and even along the Great Ocean road where campsites can be pricey!

We currently have multiple relocations departing from Melbourne heading to Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Hobart, Perth, Port Lincoln & Sydney. Alternatively, you can also relocate a vehicle to Melbourne from Adelaide, Alice Springs, Darwin, or Sydney. You can relocate cars, SUV's, campervans, and motorhomes and even get some fuel costs reimbursed on select listings.
